BEE Prepared

Dancers may be dropped off or walked into the studio by their parent. There is a designated waiting area for parents or other family members who need to wait while class is in session. Please remember that instructors are not responsible for students before or after their class time.

Dancers should arrive on time for their class and attend class consistently. We understand that life happens, and you may need to miss class. Please just let us know! As we get closer to performance time, excessive absences may result in your dancer not being able to participate in certain parts of our performance. Class time is so important, as this is where we learn and practice the steps we will be performing…so if your dancer is not there, they cannot learn or practice it.

Dancers should wear proper dance attire* and hair that is pulled away from their face. Buns are preferred, but a ponytail or a braid is allowed.

*Proper attire includes: leotards, form fitted shirt or tank, tights, dance skirt, dance shorts, dance leggings, ballet shoes (pink leather for girls/black leather for boys), black tap shoes. Proper attire allows us to move freely and see body alignment. No baggy clothing or street clothes allowed. This is for your dancer’s safety, and respectful to the discipline of dance. If a dancer is not wearing proper attire they may sit and observe class but may not dance.

Dancers should have their name written on all dance shoes, and will not wear dance shoes outside. This protects your shoes and our floors!

Dancers should bring a water bottle filled with water only. They may keep their water bottle in class. Food is not permitted in class. We have a designated zone for food to be kept. Dancers taking multiple classes will have scheduled snack breaks. Remember to bring food that fuels you!

Dancers should be picked up by their parent or other approved adult promptly. Instructors will have another class starting immediately. Please remember that instructors are not responsible for students before or after their class time.

Instructors will not be responsible for personal items brought to our studio. We recommend leaving valuables at home. Cell phones will not be permitted in class.

Tuition payments will be due by the 10th of each month. Payments received after the 10th will incur a $25 late fee. Again, we know life happens, and we are here for you if you need to discuss payment with us.

Parents, Dancers, and Teachers understand and agree that they are committing to a season long dance year that runs weekly from August-May with a May performance. Withdrawal is not acknowledged until The Hive has received 30 days advance written notice of said withdrawal. Tuition will continue to be billed until written notice is received.

Parents authorize The Hive Academy of Dance to act for them, if they are unable to be reached, according to their best judgement in any emergency requiring attention. I hereby waive and release The Hive Academy of Dance and The Right Combination Dance Studio from any liability from injuries incurred by my dancer’s involvement in the program and assume all responsibility for the actions of my dancer.

BEE Your Best
